Since we are almost over the nappy stage, and never used this portable nappy changing mat, I got the idea to repurpose and use it as a play mat. AND it is a dry-erase play mat, because drawn on with whiteboard markers, it can be wiped clean with a wipe!

Dry-erase play mat

The kids got a farm set for Christmas, so we made the play mat a farm theme this time. But one could change the “theme” to whatever interest your child at the moment, eg. a car track(add small cars), zoo(add wild animals), pet shop(add pet toys) etc. One could even use it as a playdough mat, storing the dough and utensils in the pocket and playing on the mat, containing the mess.

The pocket meant for nappies, wipes and creams is perfect to store the small toys in. And it folds up quite small:

A baby wipe takes off the drawings easily:

Now it was the kids’ turn to design and play:

Great repurposing idea, plus it is perfect to take with when traveling or just keep it in the car for when you need it, visiting friends or family!
