What you need:
- the FREE printables(find the download instructions below)
- mini erasers
- dry-erase marker
- dice
How to use this printable:
Laminate the printables, or use a dry-erase pocket. Roll two dice. Write the numbers in the blocks on the printable. (Remind the kids: If you use the subtraction mat, place the bigger number in the first block.)

Count out the rainbows and then either add or subtract the number of rainbows to get the answer.

Write down the answer! Physically counting out the mini erasers helps young kids to grasp, not only counting, but it develops their number sense as well. For example: Seeing the number 3 counted out is less than the number 5.

The perfect Maths activity for Spring! Have fun learning with our rainbow sums mat!
