Reuse jeans to make these cute no-sew jean pocket potholders for your kitchen or as gifts!
We have a lot of jeans that are torn or too small, so I made these potholders from the pockets without any sewing: no-sew Jean pocket potholders! A lovely, usable upcycling project!
Did I mention it is no-sew and soooooo easy?
Here is what to do:
Loosen the back pockets(this step takes the longest). You need 2 pockets per potholder.
Cut a piece of batting a little bit smaller than the pockets.
Glue the batting down on one of the pockets with strong fabric glue. A glue gun could also work.
Before adding the other pocket, use two Jean loops and glue it down first, then the other pocket.
Let it dry and then iron both sides for the glue to set.
Your jean pocket potholders are ready to be used!
I kept mine simple, but one could add some trimmings: lacing, buttons, bows etc. if that is your fancy! Another idea, add a kid handprint with the date for a keepsake for a granny!
