No Sew Superhero Capes

We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.

So, my 2.5 year old son turned a superhero fan(where do they get it from?)! So far we have painted superhero t shirts. Now I made these easy no sew capes!

Guess what I used that makes it no sew? T-shirts! 

For the batman one, we used one of my daughters old shirts:

I cut the back part like this, leaving the collar intact:

I trimmed it a bit to look better and the bottom part just like a batman cape:

And that is it! Pull it over the head like a t shirt and it is good to go!

This superman one I made first, but did not take photos of the process. It was cut the same way though, without the detail at the bottom end.

  
At least now we have two we can alternate, AND it can be worn with all his t shirts!

Best of all, it did not cost me a dime! A win for me, and a win for him!
Please note that I do not recommend using these in a group of little ones such as a nursery school, or while playing on outside equipment. It could be hazardous if a friend pulls the cape, or the cape gets caught in play equipment. Please use under adult supervision.
