One of our cousins turned 9 last week! Instead of buying a gift, we chose to give her money, but not just money in an envelope, we made a sweets & money gift surprise!

 sweets and money surprise gift
I took us not even 10 minutes to put it together, and my 5 year old helped!

We placed the notes in a cut cardboard tube that fits nicely into a glass jar. (We reused a peanut butter jar)

Then my daughter added the sweets(we used Astros, it any small type of candy will work).

When the jar was full, I closed it up and added a circular piece of gift wrap around the lid, secured by a ribbon.

Lastly, I added a round paper with the note.

And, voila: a sweet gift surprise!

Needless to say, she loved it! And funny enough, Lella kept the secret!

Two years ago she also received money, but then we used this! Check it out! So fun!
