Your kids will love this counting Christmas sweets game! So grab the sweets/candy and play!
I have found these cute Christmas sweets and just had to use them for educational purposes before the kids devoured them! We used it for counting and fine motor practice too!
You can use the same concept with any candy, or if you’d rather use mini erasers, beads, pompoms etc. that is fine!
I added the sweets(out of the whole pack there were only 3 green ones) to the tray with a green and red bowl a dice and a plastic tweezer. You can use any type of sweets that is easy to pick up with tweezers and have two or more colours.
My almost 4 year old played this time. He had to throw the dice, say what number it is and then pick up that number of sweets(any colour) and add to the correct colour bowl. I would ask questions like how many do you have in the red bowl/ green bowl and he had to use his counting skills to give me the answer.
He randomly chose the colour sweets to add to the bowl and saw that the green was way less than the red. If you have the same amount of sweets(both colours) you could play two players, one per colour and see which colour finishes first.

A simple, but fun, sorting and counting activity one could play with any type of sweets/candy too!
