Are you planning a zoo party for your child? Have a look at these awesome, but easy, ideas to add to your party!
It was party time again and this year we decided on a Zoo party, because Lella loves going to the Zoo and with the animal theme one can do so much.

A banner that said “Lellas Zoo” and a few “party animals” greeted the friends.
The invitation was a photo of Lella and a monkey inviting friends to join the “wild” party and dressing up as their favorite animal. The invitation also gave an optional trip to the zoo that we will take, weather permitting.
We made a zoo cage with the gazebo frame and some duct tape, hung green streamers to get the jungle feel and added some balloons.
The centerpiece was a crate with stuffed animals inside and play animals on fake grass on the top.
We had “grass” party packs (recycled from 2-liter bottles and tissue paper modge podged on). Inside the packs, the friends found some zoo cookies, a banana, chomps, animal mellow, animal shape jelly sweets, cheetos chips etc. and each friend got a different animal juice bottle.
Activities we did include making animal masks and making your own “lion” face pizza.

The cake I made this year was a zoo cage with animal cake pops, which was not such a great success since it was the first time I tried this, but you could get the right idea. It tasted good though! She loved to blow the candles with the help of her best friend.
This year it was not as cold a day, so we went to the zoo after the party. Another highlight: at age 3, she now understood what the fuss was about and was so excited to be having a party! And of course, this year we were blessed because her baby brother was here to join in the fun.
