Time for the second instalment on the project in process: Upcycled Doll House!
P. S If you’ve missed the first post, you can read it here!
Today I give you…the dining room!
The chairs were made out of toilet paper rolls. Yes, you read it right, tp rolls, so simple! Just cut and paint(my 7 year old niece helped with the painting part).
I added big white pompoms for the “padded” chair cushions. Used a tiny bit of glue to keep it in place.
The table is the top of a cheese triangles box. My almost 4 year old helped painting this one.
The base of the table is a spool of a large ribbon. I realize how many things I kept(just incase) come in very handy now!
On the wall last year’s Christmas family photo was mounted in a corrugated craft board rectangle.
On the table is a mini vase(empty glitter container), with mini(scrapbook) flowers and a scrunched up piece of tissue paper. I added a small circular “table cloth” and the kettle is a bead! We’ll add more food utensils and food as we play!
And the last touch, a lampshade, mini cupcake liner(how I adore these!) hung from the “ceiling”!
I hope you enjoyed part 2: focusing on the dining room. Next week it will be…the bedrooms!

What a wonderful craft for creating a pretend play area!
