So I was so excited to have found plastic eggs! I don’t know if I’ve just missed them last year since I only started blogging around July, and only now realizes how much one can do with them after seeing so much inspiration from fellow bloggers, like P is for Preschooler, Scribble Doodle and Draw and JDaniel 4s Mom, to name a few!

Here are a few ways to play with plastic eggs:

I’ve added some small items(beads, buttons etc.) to the eggs, just for the reason that there is something “to find” inside! Note that the items are the same colours as the eggs to do some colour sorting and matching activities.

Of course, we played egg hunting, again and again, and again, inside the house, outside in the garden! This was Lella’s favourite activity! To check that she had found all the eggs, she had to check that each egg has its friend(the same color eggs are friends).

We counted and sorted and matched colors, with the eggs alone and also with the small items and the eggs.

We played the eggs got silly(mixed up colours), and then she had to correct them.

Oh, we had an egg bath too! That was so much fun, 15month old brother also enjoyed playing with the eggs in the bath, scooping water, watching as it trickles through the small holes, stacking the pieces etc.

Use plastic eggs to play this Egg Word Game or do a Letter Hunt. Use clear plastic eggs to do a simple color mixing experiment.

Have fun with all these ways to play with plastic eggs!

I love the egg bath idea! Such a fun way for kids to play in the tub! I can just see them scooping water in the eggs, filling them with little toys, trying to make them sink….
