You can glue pieces together if you want to have a more “complete” story-telling box. Or, leave as loose pieces “puzzle” pieces for older kids to make their own stories!

Some history
Leprechauns are the Irish mythical, mischievous fairy-folk. Apparently, they were not very friendly folk, simple shoemakers that were quite stingy!

The story goes that Leprechauns hid their gold in a pot at the end of a rainbow. If you can catch a leprechaun, he will grant you three wishes, and if you ask he will show you to the gold. That is why the children will set a trap for the leprechauns.

Beer and pipes are also associated with the day celebrated by many.(Perhaps leprechauns like drinking beer and smoking pipes.) You can decide if you want to add the beer glass and pipe to your busy box, I did include it in the templates. ?

If you celebrate St. Paddy’s day or not, enjoy this fun busy box! Make up your own stories, or use the gold coins for counting practice!
