Today, I have yet another fun felt busy box idea for you: a scarecrow busy box!
We have quite a collection of Felt Busy Boxes by now and also have written an Ebook called 14 Fun Felt Busy Box Ideas, with templates, check it out!
Remember you can also use these felt cutouts on your felt storyboard, it does not have to stay in a box like ours. We do like our busy boxes because it is handy to keep in the car.
You will need:
- Various felt pieces
- Scissors
- Yarn
- Googly eyes
- Thread(or simply draw a face with a marker)
What to do:
Line your lid with a piece of felt.
Then, use the FREE template provided on our Freebies page under the FELT BUSY BOX category and cut the different pieces. (You can use as many colors as you want/need.) Then add some details: yarn hair, thread for a mouth and some more thread details on the clothes.
Ready to play! Dress your scarecrow using the felt clothes, make up stories or sing a song like “I’m a jingle jolly scarecrow with a flippy-floppy hat…”
A fun busy box idea, perfect for Fall! Also check out our Printable Dress-a-Scarecrow activity your child can color and use as a busy activity!
