Today I have something different to share with you, but since most of our readers are either moms/grandmas or teachers, I’m sure they have the same problem- messy photo displays! This fridge photo display idea can be used on a fridge or any other metal surface eg. a magnetic note board in a class!

Too often we tend to add photos to our fridges by simply using magnets, but then the photos get more and the magnets not enough, right?

There is a simple solution: hang the photos from mini pegs on strings! You can add as many strings as you need and it will still look neat! I can imagine a classroom with this photo string idea plus birth dates for each class mate..

Supplies needed:
  • Mini pegs(the type you buy at craft shops)
  • Ribbon, a thicker kind is best
  • Buttons(or any other decorative item)
  • Magnets
  • Glue gun or strong glue

Instructions:

This is a super easy DIY project for mommy! Measure your fridge’s width to get the length the ribbon must be. Cut the ribbons. Attach the ribbon ends to the buttons, and add the magnets too. (Round magnets would have worked better, but I could not find any so I cut strips of magnets instead.)

Once dry, add the ribbons to the fridge and move it as you wish. This is great because it is readjustable depending on the size of your photos. It is also easy to swop out photos if needed! Lastly, add the photos. I paired the portrait photos and the landscape photos because it looked neater.

And that is it! A simple but neat fridge photo display makeover that did not take very long and did not cost much to make either! Also check out this Fridge Makeover with Decals!
