Space! Such a fun theme to learn with! Here are FREE space upper and lower case letter cards to match, play memory games or pack in alphabetical order!
We are working on letter recognition, both upper and lower case letters, at the moment. This set’s font is the New South Wales foundation font, because we are moving there soon. I hope it will work for you too. Let me know if not;) Here is also the DIGITAL VERSION using Boom cards!
To use Boom Cards, you must be connected to the Internet. Boom Cards play on modern browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge). Apps are available for Android, iPads, iPhones, and Kindle Fires. For security and privacy, adults must have a Boom Learning account to use and assign Boom Cards. You will be able to assign the Boom Cards you are buying with “Fast Pins,” (play provides instant feedback for self-grading Boom Cards). Fast Play is always a free way for students to engage with Boom Cards decks. For additional assignment options you’ll need a premium account. If you are new to Boom Learning, you will be offered a free trial of our premium account.
You may be eligible for a free trial from Boom Learning. Read here for details: http://bit.ly/BoomTrial. If you choose not to stay on a premium account after your free trial, you will still be able to assign all your Boom Cards to as many students as you see fit using Fast Play pins (which give instant feedback for decks that are self-grading).
Simply print, laminate and cut the cards. I do recommend laminating since it will be used a lot and will keep longer then.
How to Play:
- Play a simple matching game by mixing up all the cards and finding the matching pairs.
- Play a memory game by placing the cards face down on the table. Turn two cards around at a time and try to remember where they are to find two pairs.
- Play “Go Fish”. Give out 8 cards. Leave the rest in a pile in the middle of the table, face down. Ask another player for specific cards to make pairs. The one with no cards left wins!
You can also use the cards to work on alphabetical order. Place the lower case letters in alphabetical order, then add the upper case, also in order. Or, pack some cards, leaving some out, let the child find the missing ones.
