Make these easy flower cookies with your kids! These cookies make great gifts too, perfect for teacher appreciation or Mother’s Day!
Make your favourite sugar cookie recipe (our Soetkoekie recipe was used here, get the FREE printable recipe card at the end of this post). Let the kids help too, it is great fun.
PS: I added a few drops of yellow food colouring to our batter to make the cookies a bit brighter.
The cookie cutouts were placed in the tartlet pans to help the petals form.
After the cookies are baked and cooled down, melt the chocolate in the microwave with the double container method(it is explained HERE). Then add drops of chocolate in the middle of the flower cookies. Lastly, add the sprinkles before the melted chocolate hardens so it sticks to the chocolate.
These flower cookies are really easy to make with kids. Place the decorated cookies in the fridge to let the chocolate harden a bit so they can be stacked without melting into each other.
Such an easy way to make pretty flower cookies! You can even use your melted chocolate and attach a cake pop stick to make a flower bouquet with them.
