Grab a beach ball for some fun beach ball learning your kinesthetic learner will love!
We had so much fun playing with a beach ball (even though we are not even close to a beach, unfortunately). All you need is a beach ball and a whiteboard marker for this beach ball learning activity!
Write words on the ball that your child is currently learning to spell. One word or sentence on each color of the ball. Stand across one another and throw the ball to the other person. The person catching the ball must read aloud what is written on the color that is in front of him. Then they throw the ball again. When you covered all the words wipe them off and write new words on the ball.

Use these free cards (print as many as you need, instructions to access our Freebies page below) together with the ball. Write the same words that you have on the ball, on the cards. Pick a card, then catch the ball. Find the word you picked on the ball. Erase the word when you found it. Do this until all the words are erased to start a new game.
This game can have many variations such as standing in a circle if more players are playing. Also, write some sums on the ball to help them with their mathematical skills. The days of the week/months of the year can also be used to learn the spelling of it.
Use the ball for a kinesthetic activity: write instructions on the ball such as jump up and down, stand on one leg, laugh out loud, spin in circles, etc.
You can also turn a beach ball into a reward ball. Write different rewards on each colour of the ball. Whenever your child qualifies for a reward after they completed an instruction or task successfully they can catch the ball to reveal their reward.

The possibilities are endless and oh, so fun for learning with a beach ball!
