My boy is turning two! (Where has the time gone?) And this time we had a ball themed party, since he is just crazy about balls!

I opted for rather simple decorations, because the colors(red, yellow, blue and green) are so bright, you don’t need lots of decor. (Too much would be a tad overwhelming)
The weather did not play along though, so although we planned an outside party, it turned out to be inside, mostly. (Another plus on the minimum decor that I had to rearrange rather quickly). We organized a jumping castle/skippy slide, which we only used a bit in the morning before it started to rain, and again Sunday before they collected it again. But after the rain stopped, the kids played in the puddles, and ended up in the (rather surprising lukewarm warm water) swimming pool, swimming with balls, of course!
For the wall decor, I used a large circle punch and punched out a bunch of red, yellow, blue and green circles. I arranged them on the wall into a number two, and then just randomly around the number. We placed the cake(post on this coming soon) as the centre focus, and the chips/sweets bowls on the one side, the drinking station on the other side, with balls on top.
For the other wall I made a garland using the circles and clear jewelry gut.
The wall by the party table got balloons and hanging circle garlands.(These were supposed to hang in a bunch from the ceiling over the middle of the outside party table)
On the table I cut gift wrap as a runner, and also to place in the white gift bags I used as party packs. I added circle tags on the bags for each friend. Baskets with balls together with other balls decorated the table. Each friend also got to take a ball home as a party favour.
Simple decorations, but bright and cheery for my 2 year old boy’s birthday party!
