“Minute to Win It” is such a popular game and what better way to make use of it to entertain the kids during Easter. We used some of the games at church during one of our services and the games we didn’t finish my kids wanted to play at home. It works for big crowd as well as only 2 or 3 kids.
The aim of each of theses games is to complete them in 60 seconds, basically challenging yourself to finish the challenge in 1 minute. You can play in pairs/groups and give points to the group finishing first(or at all) if you prefer.
Game 1- Scrambled Eggs
Use:
- Coloured plastic eggs
How to play:
Open the plastic eggs and put it on the ground. The child has 60 seconds to put them together matching the colours together.
Game 2- Jelly Bean Toss
Use:
- A packet of jelly beans
- A bucket
How to play:
One child holds the packet of jelly beans and the other one holds the bucket. When the time start the one child must throw the jelly beans into the bucket and the other child must try to catch the jelly beans. To make it more difficult the child holding the bucket must hold it on their heads.
Game 3- Bunny Tails
Use:
- Cotton wool / marshmallows
- Wooden skewers
- Bucket
How to play:
Give each child a bag of cotton wool and two skewers
When the time begins they must use the skewers to take one cotton wool and walk on their knees to drop the cotton wool in the bucket.
Game 4- Egg Stack
Use:
- 3 Empty toilet rolls
- 3 rubber eggs
How to play:
Each child must build a tower using the eggs and toilet rolls provided.
Game 5- Sticky Egg
Use:
- One egg
- Stickers
- Tray
How to play:
When the time starts the child must roll the egg round on the tray and pick up all the stickers. All the stickers must stick to the egg.
Game 6- Egg Tower
Use:
- Plastic eggs
How to play:
Place the open eggs in front of the child they have 60 seconds to stack as many open plastic egg pieces on each other without it falling over before the time runs out.
Game 7- Suck – a – Jelly Bean
Use:
- Jelly beans
- Straws
- Bucket
How to play:
Each child must use the straw to suck a jelly bean and move it into the bucket. The child with the most jelly beans in the bucket at the end of the 60 seconds wins the round.
Game 8- Jelly beans in grass
Use:
- Jelly beans
- Bucket
- Shredded tissue paper
How to play:
Fill each bucket with shredded tissue paper and mix the jelly beans in it. The child must remove as many jelly beans from the grass in 60 seconds without removing or lifting the grass out of the bucket.
