Make sweet American white chocolate popcorn your children(and adults) will love!
Today’s post is inspired by our American friends! This white chocolate popcorn with blue and red sprinkles reminds me of the 4th of July celebrations hence the title of this post!
To make this delicious popcorn is super easy and takes less than 10 minutes to make!
You will need:
- About 4 to 5 cups of popped popcorn(will depend on the size of your pan)
- 2 slabs of white chocolate(200g, more or less, the more the better!)
- Sprinkles of your choice
- One could add small sweets like mini M&M’s too
I air-popped the popcorn(to make the process even quicker, use ready popped popcorn). Then, I melted the chocolate in the microwave. I found the easiest way to do this is to place a smaller jug into a bigger jug filled with some water. When the water boils, the chocolate melts without burning. I did 5 minutes(in intervals) at 70% power.
After the chocolate melted properly, I drizzled it over the popcorn that was spread out on the pan. The sprinkles were added quickly before the chocolate hardened again.
I left it to harden properly and broke it into smaller pieces to enjoy!
Such an easy snack, the kids can definitely help to make it too, for any time of the year! Change up the sprinkle colours to fit a theme: pink or red for Valentine’s Day, red and green for Christmas etc. The possibilities are endless!
