Do you love keepsakes as much as I do? We have quite the collection already, I *might* have to start giving some away to the grandparents, but it is just too special! Today’s keepsake is a lovely lightweight flower magnet!
We used air drying clay(yellow and orange) for this flower keepsake since I wanted to make it a magnet and our usual salt dough is a bit too heavy if you make a big-ish keepsake like this.
First, my son mixed the two colors of clay. He loved this part.
When we had a pretty marbled look, we pressed it down evenly. It was about 500mm thick. The handprint was pressed followed by cutting out the photo hole with a flower cookie cutter. A green stem was added(you can skip this step if you don’t have green clay) and lastly, I added the date with my cookie stamp letters.
It was left to dry for a few hours before I added the photo and magnet.
A pretty flower magnet keepsake that looks fabulous on our fridge! Would you like to try it too? Do follow THIS link to see ALL our keepsakes in one place.
