Make a bright tissue paper flower craft with your child and practice drawing circles too!
One afternoon my daughter asked to make something(she’s not often keen on structured activities). So, I had to come up with something quick using what we had on hand. She made this bright tissue paper flower! PS: Have you seen this Tissue Paper Flower Frame?
First, a bit of exploring drawing with circles. This is great for children, it takes some skill to trace around a circular object, and this was the perfect opportunity to practice that skill. We used two different sizes.
She chose how she wanted to stick the tissue paper, she does like being in control of her craft, which is perfectly fine! The tearing, scrunching of the tissue paper is so good for those fine muscles in the fingers.
Little brother also had a go at attempting to fill a flower shape, but got a tiny bit distracted, lol!
We added a stem, and voila, a bright tissue paper flower craft! So bright and pretty! This could make a cute Mother’s Day gift, or make it on a smaller scale and add it onto cardboard for a Mother’s Day card!
