SWEET, INDULGE, DELICIOUS… Cookie & Chocolate Fudge is deliciously sinful and could be a welcome end of the year gift for sweet teachers/ neighbors or just anyone to indulge in!

I remember these fudge squares from my high school years: our maths teacher, Mrs. Nel, sold it in her class. We always called it “Koekiegoed”, directly translated as Cookie Stuff. I thought I’ll rather name it Cookie & Chocolate Fudge, although it does not contain real chocolate, only cocoa. But, oh so addictive and delicious! I suppose you can add a few bit of chocolate to the recipe if you wish.

Ingredients
200g butter/ margarine
75 ml condensed milk
25 ml sugar
200 ml icing sugar
50 ml cocoa
25 ml golden syrup
Pinch of salt
2 packet of Marie biscuits(or any plain type of biscuit/cookie)
Method
- Melt margarine, condensed milk, sugar, icing sugar and syrup together. (Do not boil)
- Add salt.
- Break up cookies until fine and add to syrup mix.
- Pour into a flat container and let it harden in the fridge.
- Cut into small blocks once set.
Enjoy!
