You are my Sunshine…
I bet you were singing the song in your head too!
Sometimes I plan to make a gift for someone and then when it is finished, I am soooo tempted to keep it to myself because it is just too pretty to give away!
It happened with this peg photo holder the kids and I made as part of this weeks Kid-made Gifts Series!
24 Kid bloggers are coming together this week to share some ideas your kids can make as gifts for loved ones! Be sure to check back everyday to see all the ideas!
On to this gift- we used pegs and a cardboard cut into a circle:
The kids painted the pegs and cardboard yellow and orange. We used sponges on pegs as brushes, just to keep with the peg idea and it gave the circle an interesting texture too.
I added the words: You are my Sunshine with black paint.
Lastly, the pegs were glued onto the cardboard. I ended up using 18 pegs all around the circle:
To hang it up, I used this clip at the back, and secured it with duct tape. Hopefully it will hold.
Such a special and pretty photo frame!
See how nice it looks above my desk? I should keep it…
Next up is Playdough and Popsicles and Witty Hoots!! Be sure to check out their fabulous kid-made gift ideas they are sharing in the Kid-made Gift Series!
