It’s Rhyme Time! Last week we made finger puppets for 6 Little Ducks. This week we have the very popular rhyme ‘The Wheels of the Bus go round and round…’!
We made red bus out of recyclables: a tissue box, bottle tops and stickers. My 5 year old enjoyed painted the tissue box, any excuse to get her hands on paint!
I made holes in large bottle tops to use as the wheels:
I wanted the wheels to really ‘go round’, so I attached sticks to the bottle tops, securing it with glued on beads:
My daughter drew the people on the bus onto the sticker windows:
Lots of people riding this bus, so she got bored quickly and didn’t bother with details. Apparently you can’t see the people’s faces through the window, lol!
I cut the “door”, so it can open, and the kids can play with small figurines: letting the “people” in and out the bus.
An easy recycle craft, that can be used as a toy too! Perfect for the rhyme!

Nice usage of recycled materials! I was amazed by how easy you’ve figured out to make the windows! Keep up the good work!
