Sensory play is one of those activities my children enjoy tremendously. We have played with different fillers and different tools. Some of our sensory bins had themes, others were simply put together to develop skills like fine motor skills too!

Sensory play has many benefits. My daughter is a sensory seeker (SPD), so for her, the messier the more fun! I’ve learnt to deal with it, and embrace the mess.

Setting up a sensory bin does not have to cost much, and it usually does not to take forever to set up. The nice thing is: it will entertain your child for quite some time. Just keep an eye on them, it might get messy!

How have your kids played in a sensory bin before?
