I’m at it again: upcycling with tape. This time I gave an old file folder a make over!

upcycled file folder

So it was an old folder I used while studying. I saw it in my cupboard, and thought it would look so nice with a little bit of TLC. This is the before and after:

before-after

And it was real easy to do. I decided on 2 rolls of tape, one patterned and one plain. I think plain black should have also looked nice, but I do not have it(yet).

I simply made stripes, starting on the outer sides with the heart patterned one.

Then I added the grey next to the hearts, and also the grey in the middle.

The edges were cut with a craft knife, trying to be precise.

I made sure the folder can be bent, so when I did the one side, I bent it before carrying on to the other side.

On the  inside, I only added a few strips so that I can still use the clear pockets.

And that is it! Pretty, and usable!

Other Upcycle projects I did was this Toolbox Office-in-a-Box and a Stationery Holder. Come see!
