Have you find that when the cousins come over to play, they play in EVERY ROOM of the house? I don’t mind it, it shows they are happily playing. This time I let them play on the stairs in our open-space living room *gasp*!
The two boys(both almost 3 years, one month apart) were having some ramp fun as part of The Simple Play at Home Series by Adventures of Adam!
I placed the bunk cushion on the stairs with the instruction that it is ONLY meant for cars, not little people;)
Then, a bin at the bottom to catch the cars. So simple, but look at these faces: pure enjoyment!
They played for an hour, easily! Having races to see which car is the fastest, planning where to place the cars so that it ends up in the bin. You would think it is just simple play, but the boys are insidently learning valueble lessons here too: gravity, direction, reaction-on-action rules etc.
Such a simple setup but what fun!
Remember to check out all the different activities in all the rooms of the house shared during this series!(Click this image to go to the landing page)
This would be Adams idea of heaven! What a brilliant idea to use the stairs.
