Sometimes(lots of times) mommy just needs a few minutes to get dinner going without a little person demanding attention, right?

The Simple Play at Home Series gives you ideas to get your little person playing with quick setup ideas in each room. Today we are playing near the pantry with pantry finds: plastic spice bottles! Thus, bowling: pantry style!

I grabbed a few spice bottles, making sure it is plastic and the lids are closed tightly, and set it up like this:

My son then tried to knock it down by rolling another bottle towards the rest:

He counted them when they fell, and tried until all of them were down:

  strike
This kept this little person happily busy for a good 10 minutes, enough time for me to get dinner started!

  fun play
While in the kitchen, use kitchen objects to play! We used a muffin tin for a memory game and silicone baking cups for more fun playing.
