I finally did something that was on my to-do-list for while now: organize my craft supplies, or rather my craft supply store room(yes, I have a whole room dedicated to crafts)!
I wanted to tidy up and organize the store room, but I did not want to have to spend any money on doing that, so I used what I have: thus organizing fugally!
I used the boxes I kept(just for in case), and sorted everything into the boxes, labeling them too.
I used glass bottles for keeping yarn, cupcake liners, and plastic bottles and containers for beads.
The tins are covered with patterned duct tape, and they hold all kinds of small items. The one plastic container holds string. I made holes in it, and just pull the string through the holes as needed. Other clear containers hold glue, pastels etc. I like to use clear containers, so that one can see at a glance what there is.
I like keeping the duct tape on a kitchen roll holder, (I need another), and sand art in empty hair gel containers.
I keep Washi tape in this DIY Washi Tape Dispenser. (I need another one of these too!)
I use pizza boxes to store paper and cardboard in. I colour coded the boxes for easy management.
And lastly, this amazing cupboard(it was my grandpa’s), that I keep all kinds of small items in, like pipe cleaners, googly eyes, sticks, pegs, cotton wool, buttons, magnets, punches, straws etc. This is labelled too, for easy management. I still want to give this cupboard a makeover, but that is another project for another day!
More ideas on how to organize frugally:
Turn an antique drawer into a storage unit like I heart Crafty Things did.
Use a tissue box to keep markers like Mini Monets and Mommies in or turn a plastic bottle into a cute holder for stationery like Artsy Momma. A cutlery holder keeps stationery nice and tidy too!
Come on, you can do it too!
