With Valentine’s Day around the corner, this love bug busy box is perfect to set up for your little one keep them busy for a while!
Busy boxes are activities that fit into a small box and are travel-friendly. These activities are lifesavers when you need something on hand to keep your little one independently occupied for a while. Do note that small pieces can be hazardous to young children.
I have made this busy box with felt like all of our Felt Busy Boxes, but you can use foam or cardboard too. This is really quite easy to put together and will only take a few minutes.
You will need:
- A box with a lid(we use our plastic lunch boxes)
- Red, pink, white and purple felt
- Googly eyes
- Any other bits and pieces
Cut hearts from the felt and cut out lips too. Gather all the other little bits and bobs and add them to a small box with a lid.
Add a piece of felt to the lid of the box for the hearts to stick to.
Let your child create love bugs to their heart’s content! This is a lovely open-ended activity in which your child can be creative. (Excuse the puns!) Use this busy box during quiet time, during waiting times or while traveling! A very handy little busy box indeed!
