Colors and color patterns are something young children learn even before they go to school! Here is a fun idea: a little color patterns busy box to use when on the go!

This little box is similar to our Little Spelling Box and Little Maths Box . This time working on color recognition and patterning. You can get the pattern cards free on our Freebie Page(instructions to access below).

What you need to set up this little box:
- a small box like this
- colorful beads, you can stick to one type or a variety of shapes and sizes. Remember, the younger the kid, the larger the bead!
- pipecleaners, cut in half
- pattern cards(print ours, or make your own)

Threading tasks like these are great for developing fine motor muscles and the pincer grip. This is important for holding a pencil correctly. Patterning tasks develop visual discrimination and perception skills, needed for maths and spelling too!

A fun little patterns box, perfect for quiet time, in a center or as a busy box while traveling/waiting at an appointment!
