We love playing outside, but when it is too cold, too hot, too windy or rainy, and we’d rather stay indoors, we play silly, spur-of-the-moment games.
Let me share what we did yesterday:
We made an obstacle course with the chairs and bean bags.
Developing gross motor skills and spatial relation skills while getting rid of that energy (or trying, at least)!
Then we used the coloured mats to do some jumping.
“Jump on the yellow mat, green mat”, etc. (colour recognition)
“Throw the bean bag on the pink mat, green mat”, etc. (hand eye coordination, estimation, colour recognition)
Lella had fun doing these activities, and mom loved it, because she only gave orders;)
What do your kids love doing indoors when they can’t play outside? Please leave a comment, I’d love to hear from you!

These are great! It’s super cold here right now so we have been stuck indoors a lot! I think we will give these activities a try! One thing we’ve been doing to stay sane indoors lately is playing with a balloon. My 2yr old daughter thinks it’s the best thing ever!
