Need garden markers? Here is a quick and easy way to make your own DIY garden markers!
These DIY garden markers are SO easy to make, and it is cheap too! Get the kids to help with the making of the markers as well as the planting! (We had to plant out our Checkers Mini Garden plants. If you follow us on Instagram or you are from South Africa, you know what I’m talking about.)
You will need:
-
- wooden letters
- wooden forks or craft sticks
- marker
- glue gun or strong glue
- a wood sealer like Modge Podge
Adult: Attach the initial of the plant you want to mark on a fork/stick. We have Tomatoes, Cauliflower, Cabbage, Leek, Lettuce, Cress, Chives, Daisy, Snapdragon, Pantsy, Violet etc.
Then, add the rest of the plants name with the marker. Add any detail you’d like too, kids will love adding some personal touches to theirs, I’m sure. Give it a coat or two of Modge Podge to protect it from the dampness of the ground and watering.
And that is it! Easy peasy! You have made your own garden markers! Now lets just hope the plants grow!
