Try this delicious BBQ meat marinade that goes perfectly with ribs or steak!

“Braai” is the South African version of a BBQ, but we do not only grill burgers and sausages, but we also love to “braai” all kinds of meat, especially steak and pork ribs! Here is a great BBQ meat marinade that works well with ribs and steak. Also, be sure to check out our other favorite South African recipes in this recipe e-book Smul…!
This marinade can be used to prepare meat for the “braai” or you can simply cook the meat as you normally would.

Simply mix the ingredients together and pour over the meat. Let it rest for at least an hour before grilling.

Side note: When using a marinade, the meat will tend to scorch easily because of the sugar content, so grill longer over a lower heat. Another option is to remove the excess marinade before grilling and just before removing it from the heat, add it again.
