Here are a few quick and easy ideas to get the creative juices flowing to create the perfect honey bee party.
The Invitation
Cover a small box with black corrugated cardboard, Use a cute bee sticker on top of the box and write the quest’s name on a yellow tag. Write the invitation on a yellow sheet of paper, roll it up and secure it with a decorative paperclip.

The Treat bag
Paint an empty, clean yogurt or plastic container black. Poke two holes in the lid and use a chenille stem to make a handle. Cut thin yellow vinyl strips and stick stripes around the container.

Hairband
Wrap a yellow chenille stem around a black hairband, tie two black pom-poms on the ends. This makes great party favors! Plus it will inspire imaginative play too!
Honey Tea
Remove the labels and wash glass juice bottles. Decorate the bottles in alternate black and yellow vinyl stripes. Make a tag out of corrugated cardboard and tie it around the rim. Fill the bottles with cooled tea sweetened with honey.
Royal Jelly
Make orange or yellow colored jelly according to the instructions on the packet. Pour into pretty glass jars, let cool, close the lids and refrigerate. Add a tag around the neck of the bottle, label it “royal jelly”.
Honey Comb Balls/Caramel Popcorn Recipe
Make a batch of caramel popcorn, serve in glass jars to represent honeycombs.

Ingredients
250ml sugar
115g baking margarine
125ml golden syrup or honey
pinch of salt
2ml bicarbonate of soda
5ml caramel essence
6 x 250ml popcorn (popped and still warm)
Method
Using a heavy-based saucepan, bring the sugar, syrup, margarine, salt to boil. Lower the temperature and boil until soft ball stage, stirring continuously.
Add the bicarbonate of soda and caramel essence.
Add the mixture to the popcorn, mix well.
Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for about 20 minutes until light golden brown.
