Autumn or Fall is a great time of the year to learn about leaves! Combine that and your fine motor practice with these Autumn leaves lacing plates!

These lacing plates are só easy to make, and fun to use for younger kids because it is chunky and easy to maneuver!
What you need:
- the free printable leaf pictures(there are 6 different type/color)
- paper plate per leaf
- hole punch
- string or lace
- stick(optional)

How to make the lacing plates:
Print and cut the leaves. Glue it onto the paper plates.

Make holes all around the paper plates.

Simply provide a lace(with a hard end) or tie a ribbon around a stick to make it easier to lace. I like the real stick idea to bring in some of nature…

Alternatively, you can simply laminate the leaf picture, and make the holes to lace through as I did with our Farm Animal Lacing Cards.
Such a fun way to practice lacing skills, aka fine motor skills during Autumn with our Autumn leaves lacing plates!
