For some of our readers, Autumn, or Fall, is upon them. Here are beautiful Autumn leaf shape cards, perfect for learning shapes!
Aren’t these shape cards just so pretty? I just love these Fall colors!
There are 6 shapes: circle, oval, square, rectangle, triangle and heart. Best news- it’s free for you! (Instructions to Freebies below.) You can also get the FULL set(12 shapes) HERE!
Pack out small objects such as acrylic leaves ,like we did, on the solid lines. Use small real leaves, leaf shaped mini erasers or simply Fall color pompoms/beads/buttons etc. to work on fine motor skills. Seeing the name of the shapes cause children to “read” the name, called incidental reading.
Color sort while packing out a shape to work on color recognition too!
Or simply use the cards as flash cards. Laminate so it will keep longer. One can also use it with playdough. Roll the dough and fit onto the shapes lines, fun!
A beautiful way to learn shapes for young children, perfect for preschoolers or kindergartners! And perfect during Autumn too!
