Textured Photo Book for Baby

It’s here! The Busy Bag Exchange Series!

Virtual Busy Bag Exchange Series

Today myself and Betsy from BPhoto Art are “swapping” out two ideas for keeping Baby occupied while traveling, in church or waiting at the doctor’s office. (Click on the link to see what she made!)

Textured photo book

I made a textured photo book from CD cases. Babies love familiar faces, and they love to touch different textures, so they will probably love this book too. The fact that it is made from plastic CD cases, makes it slobber proof too and the photos are protected by sticky paper. The different textured materials will just have to take the punch;)

Here is how it was made:

steps

I’ve used copies of photos(more frugal, but not as pretty), cut into circles(sort of) and stuck them onto clear sticky paper(also cut into circles that will fit onto the CD case). This can easily be peeled off again and changed if needs be.

Then I cut different textured fabric, corrugated craft board and a scrapbook paper with raised dots into circles. Again using an old CD as a template so it will fit inside the CD case. This was glued down with a glue gun.

I bound the cases together with duct tape, but one could also keep them loose, just popping one into the diaper bag when you go out(it only takes up a little space this way and you can change them often for a new experience)!

Very easy and quick to make!
Could make a lovely gift too, adding the whole family’s photos in…

Now, you can also participate in the swap! If you are a blogger, please link your BABY busy bag ideas(activities that are portable and will fit into a diaper bag) below. If you don’t have a blog, come post a photo to our Facebook Page!

And be sure to check in again tomorrow for Busy Bag Ideas for 1 Year olds!
