It’s turkey time! Your young child will love this turkey letter find activity to work on letter recognition!

Whether you celebrate Thanksgiving or not, grab these FREE letter find printables for your early reader to develop letter recognition in a fun way. PS- Have you seen these Thanksgiving Number Puzzles?

How to set up this activity:
Simply print the pages and laminate them if you wish or use a dry-erase pocket. You can provide bottle caps/lids/tops as I did here. I like these tops because they are clear so that the child still sees the letter. (BTW: It came from the water bottles from Costco.) But you can use any object, eg. pompoms, buttons, mini erasers etc.

This can easily be an independent activity or small group activity. The child then has to find the correct letters and cover them up. If you are doing a small group, ask the children to say the sound and the letter name. Ask for words starting with the letter to extend the activity and to strengthen the connection between print and meaning.

And while you have the bottle tops out, build the letters too!

This turkey letter find set includes all 26 of the upper and lower case letters of all the alphabet. Have fun finding all the alphabet letters! Find it on our Freebies page under the “Literacy” category.
