Touch & Feel Prewriting Cards

Young children need to practice their writing skills in a variety of ways. These touch and feel prewriting cards are great to do just that is a way that don’t require a pencil!

For these prewriting cards you’ll need:

  • pipe cleaners
  • cardboard
  • glue or glue gun
  • markers
  • free printable templates
Prewriting 1

What to do:

Bend your pipe cleaners like the templates or images suggested. Cut your cardboard pieces to fit the pipe cleaners. Glue it onto the cardboard.

Prewriting 3

Lastly, add a green arrow at the starting point and a red dot at the end. This teaches writing directionality as well as starting and ending points.
