Reuse old socks, or missing pair socks, and make these adorable sock snowmen! It makes great bookends or paper weights!
We do love all our recycled craft projects. Have you seen these DIY Glitter Globes? I have wanted to make these snowmen for a long time and never gotten around to doing it, but I finally did it, and aren’t they cute! You children will love making their own sock snowmen!
Materials needed(per snowman):
- One white adult sock
- One small(baby) sock
- About 500g of rice(I just had coloured ones on hand)
- 3 rubber bands
What to do:
Add some of the rice to the large sock until it is nice and round. Close it with a rubber band. Do this twice more. Make the last one a bit smaller for the head.
Cut the small sock as shown in the picture below. This will be the scarf and hat.
Add the hat and scarf. If your kids are doing this recycle project with you, they can draw a face or add googly eyes and something orange for a nose too. I like it as is though, so I left it that way.
An adorable way to recycle and create with socks- sock snowmen!
You have to see these great ideas on how to reuse socks too:

These are so adorable Nadia! I always love snowmen crafts because we can leave them out all winter, rather than just for the holidays!
