Reuse the fabric of fleece clothing to make a cute recycled Christmas tree ornament with your child.
This month we are joining Project: Recycle & Create with reusing old clothes!
Since it is almost Christmas time, I’d thought it a good idea to come up with an ornament, using some of the kids’ old fleece tops.
This was rather easy: I cut up the fabric into blocks, making the blocks smaller and smaller. I just cut them free-handed, but you could use a template(square cardboard) and then cut the cardboard smaller and use it to cut the fabric block. I cut small slits to the middle of the block and my little helper threaded it through. Lastly, she added the buttons to the bottom and the star button to the top.
I added the string so it could hang on the tree, but it does stand by itself, so it could be used as table decoration or name placement ornament too! We send ours off to an overseas exchange buddy as part of her Christmas gift. Now that just gives us an excuse to make more of these cuties!

If you have missed some of the previous Recycle & Create Projects, you can see them in this category!
You need to see this fabulous book called Learn with Play, full of great activities and Christmas ideas too!
