You will need:
- Popsicle sticks
- Craft paint
- Glue
- String
- Chenille stems in different colours
- Googly eyes
- Small beads or buttons
- Crepe paper or foam
What to do:
Paint the sticks in their respective colours. Use silver or white for the angels, white for the snowman, brown for the reindeer, flesh tint for Santa.

To make the angels
Cut the wings out of cardboard, fold a chenille stem in the shape of the wings or use feathers.
Glue to the back of the stick. Cut a rectangle out of the crepe paper (we used thin foam from old packaging material, fold in a concertina to shape the dress and tie with a piece of chenille stem. Cut a yellow or brown chenille stem into four pieces to use as hair. Loop a piece of string in the centre to hold the “hair” together and later hang the ornament. Glue the hair to the back. Use thin marker pens to draw a face.
For the reindeer
Fold a brown chenille stem into the shape of the horns. Glue to the back together with a looped piece of string. Glue googly eyes to the front, add a red nose and scarf.
For the snowman
Loop a string and glue to the back. Fold a black chenille stem to form a hat. Glue the hat, eyes, nose and beads or buttons. Use a piece of a chenille stem as a scarf.
For Santa
Glue a looped piece of string to the back. Fold a red chenille stem to form his hat and glue.
Wrap a chenille stem around the stick to make the suit, fold the arms using the last ends of the stems. Finish with a white belt, googly eyes and a piece of cotton wool for his beard.
