Make your own Christmas tree toppers with your kids’ help. These toppers are easy and quick to make plus you only need a few craft materials.

For the star
You will need:
- Strong cardboard
- Cardboard Tube
- Glue
- Red paint
- Glitter
- Modge podge
What to do:
Trace a star pattern onto the cardboard and cut it out. I would suggest cutting two and glue them on top of each other if your cardboard is on the thinner side.

Cut the tube to a length to fit your Christmas tree. Glue the star to the tube and paint red, gold or silver. Once the paint is dry, paint a layer of podge over the star and cover in glitter. Shake off excess glitter once dry.

For the Angel
You will need:
- Cardboard tube
- Ping pong or polystyrene ball
- Cardboard in silver or white
- Crepe paper in white and gold
- Glittery chenille stem
- Googly eyes
- Glue
- Toothpick
What to do:
Cut the tube to a length to fit your tree. Paint the tube if necessary, Glue the ball to the top of the tube.

Cut a square out of the gold crepe paper, fold and cut grooves to make the hair but do not cut all the way through. Make a hole in the top of the ball and use a toothpick to keep the hole open. Thread the hair through the toothpick and glue the hair in place. Glue on the eyes.
Make the dress by cutting a rectangular piece of crepe paper. Fold into a concertina shape and tie to the neck with a chenille stem.

Cut two wings out of the silver or white cardboard. Glue the wings to the back. Remove the toothpick and cut a piece of the chenille stem to form the halo. Insert one end of the chenille stem into the hole in the head. Finish the angel by drawing a smile on her face.

And there you have two lovely Christmas tree topper ideas that you can make with your children!
