We love our silicone baking cups! But we don’t use it only for baking, we like to play with it too! Here are some fun ways we have played.

play with silicone cups

Little man likes to pull the silicone cups put the cupboard and built towers with it, right there on the floor. I keep my baking stuff in a cupboard accessible to the kids, and it is great because when I have to make dinner, they can take it out by themselves and keep themselves busy while I’m busy with cooking. He is using his fine motor skills to play, and of course, hand eye coordination, concentration and so on.

Matching coloured objects to the coloured cups, like these flower beads. Also great for fine motor skills: picking up those small objects. (I placed it in a small plastic bottle so that he has to use a pincher grip to get them out, until he realized he can just shake them out, lol)

Playing hide-n-seek with a small object. My 2 year old especially loved this, the “surprise” of finding the object.

Sister was concerned that little man is peeking while cousin was hiding the flower, lol!

We used our silicone cups when we played with Ice cream Goo. And sometimes we use the cups to eat our real ice cream too!

We made “cupcakes”…

And “planted” flowers…

We do bake real cupcakes in the cups, and sometimes I bake eggs in the oven, using the shapes.

And I am sure we will still find more fun ways to play in the future. How do you play? Come share some ideas on our Facebook page.
