Are you learning about plants and flowers? Make this quick, easy Parts of a Flower craft to consolidate what you have learned!

You do not need a lot of materials and the craft should not take longer than half an hour. It is easy enough for older kids to make on their own too! PS: Have you seen this Parts of an Insect craft?
You will need:
- Sturdy cardboard (a flap of a box is fine)
- A4 Blue colored paper
- A strip of each green and brown felt(optional)
- Green and brown pipe cleaners
- A small piece of green and red cardboard
- A yellow pom pom
- Green string
- Glue, marker pen
- carbon paper for tracing or free printables(see details below)
What to do:
I used a 35cm x 20cm piece of cardboard. Glue an A4 sheet of blue paper to the top, glue a strip of brown felt (or paper) to the bottom and cover the middle piece with a strip of green felt or paper. I like using felt to give a bit of variation with textures.

Use half a brown pipe cleaner, and cut it into three pieces to form the roots. Twist three thin green pipe cleaners together to form the stem and roots.

Glue to the board. Draw a few leaves on the green felt, cut them out and glue them in place. Draw the flower on a white piece of paper. Trace the petals on red cardboard and the inside piece on green cardboard. Outline with a marker pen, cut out and glue into place. (Or simply use the printables)

Use a thin piece of green string to form the filament pieces and small balls from the yellow pompom for the anthers. (tip, when gluing tiny parts, rather use a small blob of glue on a piece of scrap paper and dip the object into the glue instead of applying glue straight to the object.)

Lastly, label the flower and plant parts. you can use our printable labels or let the kids write them out.

Have fun making this parts of a flower craft during your flowers or plants learning unit!
