Parts of Speech Game with Blocks

Here is a fun game to play with your older kids to review their knowledge of parts of speech- a parts of speech game with blocks!

What you need:

• Red, blue, green, orange and yellow blocks(we use our Unifix blocks)
• Free printable, colour print it(see download instructions at the end of this post)
• brown bag or large envelope to contain the blocks

The game rules:

Blindly draw a block from the bag. The colour of the block will determine what part of speech you will have to name. (PS: Rapid naming as a skill is developed here together with parts of speech knowledge. Dyslexic learners might have difficulty with the rapid naming part.)

Quickly name that word. You cannot repeat a word already mentioned. If it is correct, you keep the block. When the bag is empty, see whose tower is the highest to determine the winner.
