We had success in making slime! And loved the sensory experience!
I have tried to make slime before, but with no luck. We do not get Elmers glue most recipes on Pinterest call for, so I’ve tried a bunch of other types. It did not work, but then I found PVA glue at PNA.
We first had to get around the ingredient measurements, we also don’t work in Oz. here in South Africa. But finally got it right. First we made a green batch, using this recipe from Paging Fun Mums (without the Frozen elements):
The kids had such fun playing. My sensory seeking daughter loved the texture, whereas my son was not sure at first if he like the feeling. But, he came around and enjoyed it later on.
And obviously it got mixed up later on, creating a pale yellow:
Playing with slime is a lovely sensory experience, but be warned it can be messy. Especially when a 2 year old keeps on shaking his hands to get the slime off, lol! If you haven’t played for a while, the mixture seems to get a bit more gooey, but when played it gets better. I would like to try it without as. I have water next time though, just to see if the texture improves a little.
