Color Matching Butterflies

Here is a color matching butterflies activity that will be perfect for your preschoolers preparing to go to school!

Bugs, butterflies, creepy crawlies…What do they all have in common? The opportunity to have fun while learning using them as themes!

For this color matching activity you will need:

• the free printable(instructions to access our Freebies page to download at the end of the post)
• any small items in the colors of the butterflies(buttons, pompoms, beads, bells etc)
• tweezers

Originally I wanted to use pompoms only, but then I thought to give more options in terms of small items, just to make it more interesting. (NOTE- this is not for young kids or those who will mouth small objects.)

Ask the children to match the colors and use whatever items they want. This activity develops fine motor skills and color recognition too! The perfect activity to set up this Spring!
