Reuse tins to make a Christmas tin tree your little ones can decorate over and over again with DIY magnets! It is travel-friendly too!
We won’t be home for a week in December, but I want to take something Christmassy with us, so this must do! With a little imagination this could work as a Christmas tree when stacked, and it is a toy for the kids: decorating the “tree” with the homemade magnets!
The “tree” is different sized tins and green duct tape, so easy to make!
For the magnets I used gift wrap paper pictures, cut it out and glued onto a magnets sheet, and cut it out again. (Just make sure when pasting the pictures that it is nice and flat. I know when just a small piece stands up, my girl will pull the whole thing off like a sticker!)
When traveling it could be packed into each other(it nests), or the big tin can be kept in the car with the magnets for an activity for your child. A stackable, travel-friendly Christmas toy!
This tin “tree” was fun to make, and frugal also. It is a hit with my kids! Why don’t you make one yourself?
