Add this Christmas guessing game and Christmas gift hack to your festivities for a fun twist on handing out gifts this year!
Today I’m sharing a fun Christmas gift hack idea pertaining to gift-giving. A guessing game AND gift wrapping idea in one! The hack- the kids don’t know which presents are theirs, so you can place it under the tree before Christmas if you want to…
How to Prep:

The idea is to choose a Christmas character for each child/person, but they must not know which one they are. (We are only doing gifts for the children this year, but it includes the cousins and friends as well, so I added 8 characters to the printables.)

Wrap the gifts in plain wrapping paper(I opted for the brown paper since it is much more environmentally friendly) and attach the specific character gift tag. Do not write names on the tags. Super important: use the printable page that says “Your copy” to keep track of which character you assigned to a person. You can make Gift Boxes instead of wrapping them, if you prefer.
How to play:
The day you give out the presents(or place it under the tree on Christmas morning), each person gets to hold his/her card up to his/her forehead and play the Who am I? game.
The game works as follows: Take turns giving out the character cards, BUT, they must NOT look at the card(Tip: print it on cardboard to avoid see-through pictures and perhaps place it in envelopes). The person with the card must ask questions to guess the character, but only questions with Yes and No answers. If he guesses right, he /she can go search for his presents with that particular tag. Everyone waits until all guessed their character and find their presents before opening them together.
This makes gift opening a fun activity and teaches a bit of patience too.
Have fun this Christmas! Hope you will enjoy this game and use this Christmas hack!
